OpenERP SA has come up with the revolution in the world of business applications, Just in few years it becomes leading business application worldwide. OpenERP have released its new version 6.0 in January 2011 - The Revolution has started! OpenERP V6 is OUT!

OpenERP 6.0 have released with lots of new features in terms of business module, usability enhancements and core framework enhancements. some of the main features was
- Easy to use configuration wizards to setup a new database
- A new and sexy design for the web interface
- A simplified mode for users having very basic needs
- A Business oriented and fully customizable search bar
- An optional help message at the top of every screen, and improved tool tips on most fields.
OpenERP have also added new modules in it like Payroll, Voucher, Email Integration through Fetchmail and Email template, but emphasis on improvements, bugfix and usability more then adding new features in terms of new modules.
Just after one year OpenERP coming with its new release which is Version 6.1 with lots of viral features like EDI, Email framework, data import from other applications like Contacts from Google, Accounts data from Quickbook, Import all data from SugarCRM, etc..
OpenERP come up with one more revolution in its Web client, they deprecate old web client and re-write from scratch just in 6 months. New web client is built on html 5 web technology, which will allow developers to make an interactive views and cools web modules for end users. as an result we can see new full functional Point of Sales feature, Kanban view... - OpenERP is going social with the launch of the new version 6.1.
OpenERP is progressing in two ways usability with new web layer and business function with with its completely free web store where community is playing a big role. OpenERP have released its web apps store before 8 months with 1000+ modules from OpenERP's core and extra branches. Just in few months it goes to 1900+ modules worldwide, which is 50+ modules each months this shows the growth and support from community to make it grow quickly. Now a days it is on the way to becoming Wikipedia of Business Applications, you just ask for the feature and you can get the module from OpenERP Apps center. It could be great if OpenEPR setup some system to install module directly from apps center to user's hosted solution or online version.
